The Pig (DC)

The next time you are in Washington, DC you have to visit The Pig.  Can you guess that this menu is filled with all things pork, yes it serves other dishes besides pork but why would you visit a restaurant named The Pig to have something other than pork!   Prior to my visit to DC I researched restaurants that I wanted to visit via Yelp and this place was at the top of my list.  On Fridays they offer 3 courses for $15 lunch option in addition to their regular lunch menu.  The price fix lunch is a set 3 courses, no menu options to select from.  One word to describe the service, quality of dinning, and overall experience…..excellent! Anthony’s Creative Italian Cuisine (NJ)

Yesterday I went to one of my favorite restaurants for lunch, Anthony’s Creative Italian Cuisine, located in Haddon Heights, NJ.    Anthony’s provides price fixed menus for lunch and dinner as well as their normal a la carte menu. The menu options for the fixed menu is numerous and the portions are ample, some establishments that have fixed menu pricing give tasting menu portions with limited options to choose from. Amelia’s Tea and Holly (Tea House)

I had the opportunity to travel to Mullica Hill, NJ for an afternoon of tea at Amelia’s Teas and Holly with 2 good friends.   The women that work here greet you with warmth, love, pride and genuine hospitality. The tea house is in a house that has been converted into a tea house with several rooms that are used to display merchandise, seat guest, and the preparation of tea and food.

There are 3 adult menus to select from and 1 child menu, all reasonably priced. The 3 adult menus provide an option of how much you want to partake in. We each selected the Queen’s Tea menu which gave each of us assorted tea sandwiches, delicious freshly baked scone, soup, mini quiche, mini sweets, and tea of your selection.  Everything was delicious and more than enough food for the minimal cost.
